Congrats to Messers MacRae and Verkaik of the "Independent" on making the cut in the journalism section. Of the 164 bloggers who entered it was whittled down to 14, two up from the usual dozen. Last year it went to a member of the constabulary who whined about his loss of anonymity (like men falsely accused of rape?) This year bizarrely P.C. Ellie Bloggs (who is to literature what Mother Teresa was to cage fighting) is in, as are top contenders such as Hopi Sen, Iain Dale, Jack of Kent and Winston Smith.
